Reflections

My mother placed me in an educational institution when I was five, and I remained in one ever since! However, much learning is available away from organised set-ups. Sharing experiences is a wonderful human activity.

The media.

We move, we look, we listen, we perceive, we think, we judge, we perform.........all with the media at the back of the brain. Just as a goldfish swim silently in a bowl through water, most of us do the same through the media. Radio, tv, print, cyberantics do their very best to decide for the rest of us. What is impressive is the fact that what reaches the individual receptionist is material, regurgitated, recycled, with a standardised bias, hardly ever objective.
And yet, news impress ! Visual news impress even more !
This explains why the very same incident is given so many interpretations. In my country, governed by a periodically alternating bi-party system, the media mouthpieces intrepret the simplest and obvious news in such a way that one starts to doubt whether one's neighbour is living in the same road. To play an objective stance is a gift only awarded to marbled nudes in a museum.
Media is quite an interesting topic worthy of further investigation.
