Reflections

My mother placed me in an educational institution when I was five, and I remained in one ever since! However, much learning is available away from organised set-ups. Sharing experiences is a wonderful human activity.

Address a-hunting.

Nothing like looking for a needle in a haystack. That is the nauseating feeling one experiences looking for an address in a conglomeration of newly erected blocks of flats, apartments, condominiums and sky-reaching high rise hotels. Unless involving a plan for an enjoyable night with all the trimmings of business and pleasure, one would easily give up hope of getting to the destination on time. To compound the fruustration of the situation, the lack of intelligible direction signage makes address a-hunting a nightmare. Sometimes the design and construction of so many dwelling homes are so similar that extra perception is often required not to find oneself in the wrong house, in the wrong rooms and in company with the wrong people. It seems that architects are at their wits’ ends to find solutions to these problems, but so far with little marked results. It would have been so difficult for Romeo to find Juliet in her balcony in Verona, had these conditions prevailed at the time.
