Reflections

My mother placed me in an educational institution when I was five, and I remained in one ever since! However, much learning is available away from organised set-ups. Sharing experiences is a wonderful human activity.

Window-shopping.

To show off how good he was at shopping, my friend ventured to buy some sport shirts from an open-air market.

His wife repeatedly emphasised that he should never try shopping on his own. He should stop only at window-shopping. Noticing what he thought were elegant, cheap and fitting tennis shirts, he bought, for good measure, three sets.

Returning home he proudly unrapped and exhibited his newly bought shirts. At first sight, his partner sacastically pointed out that four fatal mistakes were committed. Firstly, the shirts were completely out of fashion, secondly, they were too small for his size, thirdly they were by far too expensive, given the cheap material, and to put the cherry on the cake, he never realised that shirts meant to be worn by males had the buttons fixed on the other side in relation to the attire meant to be worn by females. He got it all wrong, whichever way you look at it.

That was the first and last time that my friend ventured to meddle in bargain shopping. He gladly accepted to be confined to window shopping.
